Babies

My philosophy on baby photography--I say babies instead of newborns because I believe that baby photos can and often should be taken beyond the early "newborn" phase. My style of newborn photography is lifestyle and focuses on the connection between family members and preserving these special fleeting moments rather than baby needing to be all wrapped up and sleepy for a specific pose. Photos of babies that are awake can be just as special! Often times moms are still recovering from birth and may not feel ready to take photos right away and therefore I don't think there is a specific "right" time to take photos of a newborn. And for moms who find the idea of getting their homes "picture-ready" too stressful right after the birth of a baby, outdoor sessions can be a wonderful option as well.
